| Sample OneChicago datafiles now available via Internet Sample CME datafiles with OneChicago products are now available via the CME's FTP site on the Internet, at ftp.cme.com/pub/span/data/cme/one. These can be accessed without charge via either a Web browser program such as Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer, or an "FTP client" program such as WS_FTP. The types of sample files available will include: (a) price files, (b) SPAN files, (c) TREX trade confirmation messages, (d) Trade Register datafiles ("machine-readable trade register"), and (e) Trade Register report files. As previously announced, please note that OneChicago products will appear in CME-provided datafiles as ordinary CME products, with two exceptions: (a) on TREX trade confirmation records, the "trade source ID" field will identify the trade as being in a OneChicago product, and (b) on the Trade Register datafile, the "market indicator" field will likewise indicate that the trade and/or position record is for a OneChicago product. Files currently available are: - Sample price files and SPAN files (in both the packed and unpacked formats) for July 15th and July 18th, and
- A spreadsheet listing all of the single-stock futures and narrow-based-index futures to be launched, together with (a) the ticker code for the underlying security, (b) the ticker code for the OneChicago future, and (c) the two-byte CME clearing system code for the future.
More sample files will be made available day by day as testing progresses. For more information, please contact Karen McCoy in Client Management at (312) 930 4524 |
